Multiplex Construction Announcement
On Tuesday, June 24, 2008 the council of the Rural Municipality of Portage la
Prairie and the council of the City of Portage la Prairie, by resolution,
authorized Tower Engineering Ltd. to release tender documents for construction
of Portage la Prairie’s new recreation multiplex at an anticipated cost of

Multiplex Location Announced
The final location of the new multiplex for the Portage la Prairie region was announced on September 20, 2007 at the William Glesby Centre in Portage la Prairie. In a joint proclamation by the Portage Multiplex Committee and the Portage Industrial Exhibition Association, it was announced that the multiplex will be built on Fair Board property on Island Park.
